Agritechnica 2025: Lemken goes no-till with NT disc drill

There’s a new name in the no-till disc drill game as Lemken wheels out its latest creation – the Solitair NT.

Armed with two rows of 480mm ProDisc coulters, it places seed and fertiliser into worked or unworked ground using up to 340kg down pressure.

A 7deg angle of attack and 10deg of undercut creates just enough soil movement, while integrated rubber presses control seeding depth.

Next, a series of canted steel wheels come into play, with adjustable angle and pressure settings to help neatly close the slots.

Currently, there’s just one working width in the offing: a trailed 6m rig with coulters spaced at 167mm.

However, buyers get the option of fitting it with either a 4,400-litre single hopper, or a 5,100-litre split setup.

A 200-litre Lemken Multihub can be added too, allowing small seeds, slug pellets or Avadex to be separately metered.

Retail prices start at £125,227 for the seed-only machine, rising to £135,284 for the split hopper version.

Lemken engineers have also been busy designing a digital networking system that cuts down the number of in-cab control screens required.

It’s called iQblue Connect and allows multiple isobus and non-isobus implements to be operated from a single display.

The result is that drills, front tanks, small seed applicators and granule spreaders can be set up and run as one coherent unit, rather than being entirely separate entities.
