Austrian outfit APV has joined the army of manufacturers offering front hoppers designed to be paired with a toolbar drill.

The 1,600-litre unit features a central wall that can be positioned to provide a 50:50, 60:40 or 70:30 split, and a twin metering system capable of putting out a combined 160kg/min.

Control is via any isobus-compatible terminal and it can be specced with a load cell-based level indicator and a front camera system.

There’s also the option of a 600kg ballast kit if the hopper’s 800kg empty weight – plus its contents – isn’t enough to balance the drill on the back.
