New Boa tine coulter direct drills have been added to the Aerworx line-up as an alternative to Viper and Cobra disc-based models.

Three versions include the DT19, DT21 and DT23 with 2.5, 2.7 and 3m working widths respectively, all with 125mm row spacing, a 1,250-litre hopper and combined seed and fertiliser application as standard.

Amazone’s Condor line-up has gained two new models – the 8m 8002-2TC and 9m 9002-2TC.

The Condor 02 uses the firm’s ConTec Pro tine coulter system, now offered with either 20cm or 25cm row spacing and MultiSwitch single-row control as standard, allowing individual row switching for precise section control that minimises overlaps and enables flexible tramline formats.

They have a pressurised 4,100-litre triple-chamber hopper for application of seed and fertiliser down the same coulter, while a new compact chassis is said to make the drills more manoeuvrable, despite their large size.

Options include flexible walled VF tyres for soil protection and automatic coulter pressure control for more consistent seed placement across varying terrain.

Meanwhile, a new model has been added to the Primera DMC range. The Primera DMC 6002-2C is equipped with a pressurised twin chamber hopper with a total capacity of 5,000 litres, split 60/40.

MultiSwitch single-row control minimises overlaps and enables wider row spacing for crops such as OSR. The latter can be flexibly adjusted from the cab, and deactivated chisel openers can be mechanically locked up to reduce power demand and soil movement.

Operating speeds up to 18kph are possible, says Amazone, and, like the Condor, Primera DMCs can be fitted with VF tyres.

Launched earlier this year, the Girona GN 6000 is a rear-mounted 6m tine seeding bar which operates in combination with a front-mounted pressurised Seed-Box SB single hopper or Ferti-Box single- or twin-tank setup.

Pre-coulter tools include levelling boards and a tyre packer.

Profi or Turbo disc coulters and the rigid tine seed coulters are mounted on a parallel linkage frame with optional half side shut-off and a choice of mechanical or hydraulic depth control with depth wheels behind each coulter tine and following harrows at the rear.

Fertiliser is applied with the seed, except when mounted on the rear of the Matador MO as this offers various alternative fertiliser application options.

One new model joins the Claydon Evolution range this year: the M4R Evolution Toolbar Fertiliser. It is a rigid-frame 4m toolbar and a recent addition to the Evolution Drill M Mounted Toolbar offering that already includes 3m, 4m, 4.5m, 4.8m, 5m and 6m models in a mix of rigid and folding formats.

New MTD+ models in 3m, 4m, 4.8m, 6m and 8m widths have a revised tine layout with a 600mm gap between all four rows of tines to help residue flow through the drill.

A lower mounted hopper improves stability, while a front-mounted metering unit is easier to access for calibration. Control is through a standard isobus compatible RDS Topcon system allowing variable rate control.

A new Scorpion drilling coulter assembly option for Eco models is for use at 250mm row spacing and includes a double coulter boot for two product applications, utilising a 12mm tine followed by a pair of angled Guttler rings mounted to a tandem axle that consolidate the seed zone.

Fentech Agri

A new TS-480 APL toolbar drill has joined the Fentech Agri line-up, with a 4.8m working width, hydraulic depth control, 200mm row spacing and tine coulters arranged in four rows across ground-hugging wings.

Seed and/or fertiliser is supplied from either the new FH-1800 or FH-1800-2 front hopper.

FH-1800 front hoppers for dual products have an 80:20 split and are controlled through a Farmscan Ag system, a standalone terminal or an Isobus-compatible unit, and full integration with a third applicator is available if required.

Horizon cartridge-type metering allows rates from 1-400kg/ha and a pressurised lid maintains consistency whether the hopper is full or almost empty.

Elsewhere in the range, the TJG-300 is a new combined seed and fertiliser version of the seed-only TSG-300 grassland drill, extending the choice for buyers.

Taege

Distributed by Farm Agri UK, the Taege Utility Drill line-up has gained a new flagship 3m model, complementing existing 1.2 and 1.8m machines.

It comes with a 1,080-litre box hopper, electronic metering, hydraulic depth control and 23 coulters spaced 131mm apart. List price is £17,995.

Triton Blade Closer drill

Triton

A major revamp of the Triton drill range includes a revised frame design and a switch from green to grey paint, while Cousins of Emneth will take charge of production.

Designated Blade Closer models, there are five width options: 3m and 3.6m rigid, and 4.8m and 6m folding, with 187.5mm, 200mm or 225mm row spacings, and using Triton’s unique tine coulter design suitable for direct and conventional seeding.

This creates a deep 15-25cm channel below the seed rows to assist rooting and drainage.

An integral drill-mounted hopper is now standard for all models, although toolbar-only drills remain available to special order for use with a front-mounted Triton hopper or existing hoppers of other brands.
