Adjustable wing helps Amazone cultivator adapt to soil

Amazone has introduced an adjustable 360mm-wide wing share for its Cenius and Cenio mounted cultivators that’s designed to work in a range of soil types and conditions.

By mounting the share at the lowest of three positions on the tine, users can gear up the cultivator for shallow working of cereal stubbles.

In this setting, the wing tracks almost parallel to the soil surface, allowing it to operate effectively at just 5-15cm deep.

The next position up the leg is designed for hard-packed ground.

Because more of the point is exposed below the share, the tine generates a greater undercut, pulls in better and is less likely to ride out of the ground.

Shifting the share to the highest position completely changes the characteristics of the cultivator, giving the wings a sharper angle of attack for more intensive organic matter incorporation and mixing of the soil.
