Kuhn range gains compaction-busting 3m and 4m DT subsoilers

A brace of new subsoilers has joined Kuhn’s cultivator line-up, available in 3m and 4m widths and with different specs to bust compaction in a range of conditions.

The models include the 3m DT L 300 for light soils, which has a horsepower requirement of 230hp and can work to a depth of 50cm, and the DT XL designed for heavier ground.

This is available in 3m and 4m fixed-frame guises, requires up to 400hp and is capable of reaching 60cm below the surface.

Legs are protected by either shear-bolts or an adjustable non-stop hydraulic system, and they feature quick-fit carbide tips as standard.

Both the DT L and DT XL are said to offer plenty of under-beam clearance to help maintain residue flow and reduce the likelihood of blockages.

There are also mechanical or hydraulic folding side deflectors to limit throw, and working depth is controlled via rams on the double roller.

A 4m DT XL starts at £17,000.
