More compact frame for 12m Einbock Chopstar-Prime hoe

Mechanical weed control specialist Einbock has taken another look at the design of its biggest inter-row cultivator and come up with a revised version.
The 12m model in the Austrian manufacturer’s top-spec Chopstar-Prime range has a new main frame with double-folding wings.
This brings its width down to 3m and height no more than 4m for road transport.

All hoeing elements are now arranged in a single line and the Row-Guard camera side-shift frame is permanently attached to the toolbar.
Both minimise the machine’s length, bringing the centre of gravity as close as possible to the tractor, says Einbock.
The new row-crop cultivator can be used for all common row spacings, covering 24 rows at 50cm or 16 rows on 75cm spacing, for example.
The Chopstar-Prime is notable for the number of tools available to dislodge weeds in different crops, soil types and prevailing conditions.
It also has a quick-change design that enables soil-working elements, row guards and so on to be swapped relatively easily.
In addition, row units can be lifted 50cm clear of the surface on parallel linkage, and operated with satellite guidance and section control to avoid over-cultivation at angled headlands.
Einbock Jumbo front tanks, and others, provide the opportunity to also use the Chopstar-Prime for undersowing, applying fertiliser and band spraying.
