Bednar’s 12.3m Galaxy roller gets front paddle tine option

Greater output from an arable roller that also has soil-working capability is promised for the Bednar Galaxy GE 12300.
This five-section implement covering 12.3m joins the current three-section models with 6.3m and 8.3m working widths.

All come as standard with alternating 500mm diameter smooth cast rings and 530mm toothed rings to combine soil consolidation and clod crushing ability.
A useful feature is the compression spring at one end of each shaft to keep the rings taught as wear takes its toll.
As an option, buyers can add paddle-type spring tines ahead of the roller rings to level an uneven soil surface and bash clods.
They also break up and spread cow pats and mole hills when the implement is used on grass.
Hydraulic in-cab adjustment varies the effect of these tines or lifts them out of work altogether.
A further option is Bednar’s Alfa Drill 800 seeder, which can be had with a 400- or 800-litre hopper and conventional or isobus control.
Mounted at the back of the implement, beyond the 500/50-17 transport tyres, this unit distributes microgranules, fertiliser or seed by air to broadcasting plates.
Bednar’s UK arm anticipates an on-farm price upwards of £35k.
