Sima 2022: Bednar unveils tracked version of Efecta drill

Bednar has added the option of tracks on its 12m Efecta CE 1200 drill.
These apparently lessen the pressure placed on the soil when seeding, which the maker says is particularly useful for those working on claggy ground late in the season.

The rest of the Efecta’s composition remains the same, with the choice of either wavy or straight cultivating discs.
For seeding, the drill sports four metering systems, each of which has its own distribution head, with seed and fertiliser stored in a 6,000-litre hopper divided in a 60/40 split.
This allows for two seed types to be sown simultaneously, a single seed type to be sown, or a combination of seed and fertiliser.
Prices for the standard wheeled version start at about €200,000 (£175,591), but speccing tracks adds €50,000 (£43,897).
