Stocks Ag gives ‘Jet’ broadcasters a big capacity boost
© Stocks Ag A bigger hopper boost for Stocks Ag’s Turbo Jet and Maxi Jet seeders and granule broadcasters comes with a new design offering increased outputs from fewer refill stops.
The new 1,000-litre all-steel pressurised tank option mounts to the standard Turbo Jet and Maxi Jet chassis in place of the 240- and 400-litre plastic hoppers usually fitted.

Side support rails enable the unit to be braced when installed on the host implement, and a removable grille prevents unwanted objects from damaging the metering mechanism.
The company says the new hopper gives growers the opportunity to use a Stocks applicator on direct drills to meet the FETF44 grant criteria.
Feed block option
Another new option is a 59mm feed block available for all Turbo Jet and Maxi Jet variants; the larger diameter and six flexible vanes increasing swept volume for accurate metering of large seeds such as peas and beans.
It is also designed to enable the Jet broadcasters to handle awkwardly shaped seeds commonly found in cover crop and stewardship mixes.
In addition, the hydraulic fan drive upgrade that gives the 10-outlet Turbo Jet higher airflow for working widths of 10-15m is now available for the eight-outlet version for throwing up to 12m from the smaller unit.
Both iterations can also be operated at faster forward speeds and set up to apply material across the full working width or in rows.
An isobus display or a choice of Jackal and the more sophisticated i-Con controllers can be used across the range.
A 1,000-litre Turbo Jet 8 Hydraulic with Jackal controller, high-rate feed block and eight-outlet distribution kit costs £11,971. The hopper assembly for retrofitting is £3,381.
