Dairy Event 2011: John Deere 6R series debut

Making its UK show debut at the Dairy Event and Livestock Show was John Deere‘s new 6R Series tractor.

Newly styled, these tractors are claimed to offer better operator comfort, improved suspension and more powerful hydraulics and, as a result, increased lift capacities.

Deere is making three models available this year – the 6170R, 6190R and the range topping 6210R – which have a power range from 170hp to 210hp (200hp to 240hp with Intelligent Power Management).

A rear linkage lift capacity of 9,550kg can be matched by an optional 4,000kg front hitch and pto, and options extend to include the AutoPowr CVT along with the AutoQuad Plus and PowerQuadPlus transmissions.

An electric drive version of the 6210R is scheduled for a spring 2012 launch.
