Deutz-Fahr unveils a pair of small livestock tractors

They may not be big, but Deutz-Fahr’s new Agrolux 60 and 70 tractors claim to give livestock farmers and amenity users lightweight tractors capable of impressive volumes of work.
Power on both models comes from a water-cooled, mechanically controlled SDF three-cylinder engine rated at 52hp for the naturally aspirated Agrolux 60, and 67hp for the turbocharged Agrolux 70.
The engine drives through a fully synchronised transmission providing 12 forward and three reverse speeds, and the pto can be operated at 540 and 540E speeds.
Rear linkage lift capacity is 3000kg, which should allow a range of implements to be operated safely including cultivators and planting machinery.
A key feature of the Agrolux is its oil-immersed four wheel disc brakes which supply positive braking in a range of conditions.
Compact dimensions mean the Agrolux is pretty agile, too – its 55° steering angle provides a turning circle of just 3.4m
Controls are positioned easily to hand and the central display provides all essential information at a glance.
The two models can be supplied as a platform tractor with a folding safety bar, or a cab sourced from an outside supplier can be specified.
