Electrically-powered Kuhn/Rauch fertiliser spreaders offer ultra-accurate application

Fertiliser spreader expert Rauch – which supplies Kuhn – has “leaked” that its new twin-disc spreader will be launched just in time to take full advantage of John Deere’s E-Premium development – being the world’s first spreader with electrically-driven discs.

On show at Agritechnica, the new Axis EDR (Electric DRive) comes on the market next year with a 1200-litre hopper and maximum spread width of 42m.

Electrical power means control of the disc speed is now infinite. Disc stop at headlands is immediate, spreading action is continually uniform and operation is smoother and quieter.
