Paul Heiney, presenter of ITV’s Countrywise programme, visited Maldon, Essex, recently with a film crew to record an interview with Alan Doe, chairman of 19-branch machinery dealer Ernest Doe and Sons and discuss the Doe family’s involvement for over a hundred years with Essex farming.

The interview will be part of a programme looking at Essex and is due to be aired at 8pm Monday 9 August on ITV1.

Vintage machinery buffs will note that Mr Doe is sitting on an Allis-Chalmers Model B tractor hitched to a Massey Harris binder.
