Built-in rotator ups work rate for Italian-built Omef tree shear

A heavy-duty hydraulic worm-drive rotator allows for speedy angle adjustment on Omef excavator-mounted tree shears.

This vastly improves the range of movement, allowing branches to be cut in different plains to reduce the amount of manoeuvring required.

The unit is available on all of the Italian brand’s shears but is seen here fitted to its most popular “Big Inch” BI300 model.

Designed for excavators from 7-18t, this features a chunky hydraulic ram that delivers 33t of force, allowing it to cleave branches up to 300mm in diameter.

Available through dealer Field & Forest, the BI300 complete with rotator costs ÂŁ11,250.

The firm also stocks shears for smaller machines, with the 150mm cut BI100 costing ÂŁ2,650 and the 200mm BI200 priced at ÂŁ3,731, not including a rotator.
