Milwaukee High Output XC5 batteries offer 50% more power
© James Andrews Milwaukee has overhauled its popular 18V 5Ah batteries, giving them 50% more power than their predecessors. These High Output XC5 packs feature tabless technology, which means they are more efficient at transferring current from the cells to the tool.

In turn, they deliver longer runtimes, there is less heat build-up during demanding tasks and they are faster to charge. The High Output batteries are a direct replacement for the older Red Lithium units and are compatible with all Milwaukee 18V tools. Single batteries can be picked up for about £83 each.
Pictured here is one of the new packs fitted to the firm’s Brushless High Speed Blower, which is designed for cleaning out dust and debris from hard-to-reach places. It has three power modes, a selection of nozzles and offers more than 30 minutes of runtime when fitted with a 5Ah battery. The bare tool costs about £100.
