In the European tyre market, standard 85 radials represent a high majority of tyres sold for the agricultural market. Firestone has now introduced the Performer 85 series, which replaces the R6000 and R8000, offering stronger traction, longer and more even wear life and increased road comfort, according to the company.

The dual angle technology seen in some of Firestone’s other ranges means lug traction contact area has been increased by 4.2%, resulting in more contact with the ground and better traction overall. And, it also makes for less soil disturbance as well as better self-cleaning attributes.

Because of the Performer 85’s larger radius, it produces a flatter, wider tread, not only reducing compaction but also improving driver comfort.
