Lely is now marketing a standalone wrapper unit from Austrian manufacturer Goweil. Previously, the company had supplied Lely with a unit to convert existing balers into combination baler/wrappers, but it was not until recently that an agreement was reached concerning the full wrapper line-up. The wrapping process is fully automated – loading arms lift the bale onto the wrapper cradle and twin satellite-arms apply the film. The unit can be specified in trailed format or can be set to run directly behind the baler, making baling and wrapping a one-pass operation. Prices start from 15,300.
