Strautmann’s Verti-Mix gets adjustable V conveyor

Strautmann is introducing a new discharge conveyor design for its Verti-Mix feeder wagons.
Helpful when dispensing food over a feed barrier, the new V conveyor has a reduced number of moving parts to potentially trim ownership costs and limit breakdowns.
The one-piece PVC unloading belt can discharge to both the left and right and can increase the height of discharge by up to 55cm by raising the opening. It can also side-shift by 25cm.

Twin hydraulic motors provide the drive for the conveyor, with all Verti-Mix diet feeders using the Vario2 stepped auger. This produces a fluffy, homogenous mix more quickly, the company says.
The upgrade cost from a standard mixer wagon to one with the new V conveyor installed is £5,135.
