Lamma 2026: Grass-Tech GT55 zero-grazer caters for small herds
© MAG/Oliver Mark Growing interest in zero-grazing systems from small dairy farms – and even those running beef and goat herds – has encouraged Grass-Tech to build a scaled-down version of its tow-behind cut-and-carry harvester.
The diddy 10cu m trailer unit has adequate capacity to cater for a 30-50-cow herd and, as the outfit weighs just 2.9t empty, owners should have less trouble accessing heavy, wet ground during the winter.

Yet much of the design is the same as the next smallest model, the GT100 (25cu m), including the 2.3m-wide Kuhn drum mower, chunky chassis and eight-stud axle with hydraulic brakes and 550/45 R22.5 flotation tyres.
List price is £25,000 – making it more than £10,000 cheaper than the GT100 – and a 60hp tractor should be enough to run it.
