Lamma 2026: KRM unveils 8.5m Sprinter topper
Ā© MAG/Oliver Mark A new flail mower from KRM promises to make light work of pasture topping and field margin maintenance.
The Sprinter 8500P comprises a brace of 3m rear flail heads to be paired with a 2.8m-wide 2800 front unit ā a combination that takes at least 200hp to run.

Multiple V-belts spin the hammer-riddled 195mm rotor at over 2,250rpm, which the company reckons is enough to cleanly cut fine grass and handle woody stems up to 75mm diameter.
The front headstock loops over the flail head in a pull-type arrangement that should help it float over ruts and uneven ground, while the rear mowers can pivot by +/- 3deg to follow ground contours.
Thereās also a large leaf spring that allows them to break back by 8deg before returning to position once clear of the obstacle.
Price for the full combination is about £55,000.
