New controls for Krone EasyCut B 950 butterfly mower

Krone has updated its 9.45m-wide EasyCut B 950 butterfly mower with new Isobus-compatible controls and hardened wear skids.
As standard, it comes with 450mm-diameter merger augers, rather than conditioner units, that ferry the crop to a central swath that can be picked up by a forage harvester or baler.
These are suited to dealing with tall, high-volume ryegrass crops that can otherwise cause blockages, and delicate species such as lucerne that don’t take kindly to excessive conditioning.

The new terminal allows operators to select whether the grass is swathed behind the independent beds, centrally, or not at all, and to raise or lower each side from the cab.
The addition of tougher skids under the bed will better protect the cutterbar and sward, and potentially reduce ground pressure.
Krone has also fitted an extra lever on the nearside guard to lift the hood, and increased the distance between tractor and mower to ease access to the linkage when coupling.
The near-3t butterfly unit folds to just under 3m wide and 4m tall for transport, and it will need at least 160hp on the front.
List price is £75,725.
