Organisers of Grassland UK, which takes place on Thursday 7 May at Shepton Mallet, are using GPS technology to work out the exact dimensions of this year’s show.

Using a John Deere XUV Gator fitted with a Starfire GPS receiver, it took about an hour to trundle round the fields of neighbouring Bridge and Bagborough Farms, where the event will take place, after which all the information was used to map the event site using Farmade software.
