Albutt, perhaps better known for its range of loader buckets and grabs, is aiming to expand its product line-up with the introduction of log-splitters and timber grapplers.

The first in a range of log splitters which will, says the company, soon extend to a number of models, is a 6.5t version with a hardened steel splitter head and a time saving auto-ram retraction system.

The timber grappler (pictured) is designed for use with a telehandler, tractor loader or, if required, from a three point linkage.

Lift capacity is a maximum of three tonnes and timber up to 70cm in diameter can be accommodated.

A 360° slewing hydraulic motor also includes a brake system so that timber can be more accurately positioned.

Price of the timber grappler is £2287 and the log splitter £949.
