JCB introduces two new models to replace the 2140 Fastrac

JCB’s smallest 2140 Fastrac model has been replaced by two new machines.
At 160hp, the 2155 directly replaces the 2140 while the 165hp 2170 supercedes the firm’s larger-framed 3170.
Both use a slightly longer version of the four-wheel-steer chassis employed previously and the same truck-type gearbox, albeit uprated to run at 60kph.
The new models have undergone a facelift to bring them into line with the styling of the rest of the Fastrac range. The cab remains much the same although there is now the option of electronic spool-valves with timer and flow controls.
Under the redesigned one-piece hood a new 6.7-litre common-rail Cummins six-cylinder provides the power.
