JF-Stoll launched new shredder

The range of straw shredders/silage feeders available to UK farmers keeps on growing. JF-Stoll has just launched three new Belair Brick models, the 2258, 2278 and 2298, that go from 4.8cu m to 9cu m.
All are trailed units and feature the same two-rotor systems driven from the tractor pto. All other functions, including the moving floor, discharge chutes and self loading rear doors, are electro-hydraulically controlled from a console inside the tractor.
Power requirement is from 75hp and an oil flow of 45 litres/min is required along with a 12v electrical supply.
Three discharge chute options are available – standard side chute, top mounted swivel chute, or both.
These new models are additions to the existing DE single shredding rotor models that have been available for some years. The new two-rotor S versions are aimed at farmers that use big quantities of bales each day and those feeding out chopped clamp silage. The current single-rotor DE models are aimed at straw shredding and baled silage distribution.
Prices start from ÂŁ17,250 for the Brick 2258S standard chute model and the 2278S will be on show at the Dairy Event and Livestock Show at the NEC on September 6 and 7.
