King quad gives big power boost
SUZUKI IS set to launch the KingQuad LT-A700X at the Smithfield Show, its most powerful quad to date.
What makes this bike different from its predecessors – other than the hike in power – is a new electronic fuel injection system, all-round fully independent suspension and an upgraded braking system.
The new bike is powered by a 695cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces high torque characteristics at low engine speeds, according to the company.
Such a large engine could raise a few eyebrows from anyone concerned with fuel consumption. But fear not, says Suzuki – electronic injection ensures it is not a thirsty beast.
The system is borrowed from the Japanese manufacturer‘s range of marine engines, and is said to deliver precise measures of fuel on demand. Suzuki will not be drawn on specific fuel consumption figures.
Braking is provided by dual 200mm hydraulic front discs and an oil-submersed plate set-up on the rear.
Fully independent suspension is provided by wishbones and adjustable shocks at each corner.
Priced at £6149, the bike will make its debut at the Smithfield Show, Earl‘s Court, London (Dec 2 to Dec 5), and will be available from Suzuki dealers early next year.
