Kubota’s M6001 Utility series – the competent all-rounder
With power outputs from 104hp up to 143hp, the five-model M6001 Utility series of tractors from Kubota is the successor to the proven MGX range.
There are two short-wheelbase models delivering the ultimate in farm yard manoeuvrability, and three conventional wheelbase models for greater stability, where more power is required.

55-degree steering angle
All M6-001 Utility models get Kubota’s portal front axle with bevel gear drive, boosting ground clearance and creating a 55-degree steering angle.
Short wheelbase M6-101u and M6-111u get Kubota’s 3.8-litre V3800 four-cylinder engine, producing maximum power of 104hp and 111hp respectively. These two models weigh 4.3t and have a 2.54m wheelbase.
Larger M6-121u, M6-131u and M6-141u sit on a 2.68m wheelbase, and weigh 4.8t. Power outpurs are 123hp, 133hp and 143hp from Kubota’s larger 6.1-litre V6108 four-cylinder engine, which is shared with the flagship M7004 series.

Low cost of ownership
An improvement in exhaust after-treatment brings a lower cost of ownership while exceeding EU Stage V emission requirements.
DPF regeneration is now achieved at a much lower engine speed – typically 1,200rpm, reduced from 2,000rpm – and with a much lower working temperature of just 50 degrees C.
DPF cleaning intervals are up to 8,000 hours for the 6.1 litre engine, and up to 6,000 hours for the smaller 3.8 litre engine – again contributing to reduced operating costs, along with a 500-hour engine oil change requirement on all M6001 Utility models.
Auto-shifting transmission
All five models benefit from a 40kph, semi-powershift transmission, with eight powershifts in three ranges in a 24×24 gearbox. The option of a creeper range increases the choice of ratios to 32×32.
Transmission functionality includes auto-shifting in each range, while a sensitivity dial enables operators to fine-tune the responsiveness of gear changes to suit load on the tractor.

Operator comfort
Operator comfort is provided by an air suspension seat and the option of front axle suspension. A wide sunroof offers generous visibility for those looking to add an LK loader to the M6001 Utility tractor.
A cat III rear linkage with electronic linkage control delivers a 5t lift capacity on short wheelbase models, and 6.1t for long wheelbase tractors.
PTO equipment includes 540/1000 speeds as standard, with a 540 Eco option available.
All models can be equipped with an optional front linkage with 2.6t lift capacity, and are covered by a range of Kubota Care warranty packages that extend to five years and 5,000 hours of cover.
