Kuhn Megant high-speed drill debuts at SIMA 2007

Brand new for Sima 2007 and among 15 other debut products for Kuhn, the Megant high-speed drill is intended for large arable farming systems.
Available in six configurations from 4-6m, it features a 1700l seed hopper and requires tractors in the 120-150hp bracket to drill at up to 15kph.
A patented coulter-bar design aims to allow sprung tine-coulters to return to the soil after meeting resistance to ensure a more even seed depth.
Four rows of off-set tines allow surface trash to pass between them, allowing the machine to be used on a rougher seed bed after ploughing.
Although not yet for sale in the UK, it has been unveiled to the French domestic market with a price-tag of €27,197, about £18,692.
