Having been launched last year at Italian machinery show EIMA, the Lamborghini R6 VRT is to become available to UK farmers later this year, according to Same Deutz Fahr’s Graham Barnwell.

Featuring at this week’s Agromek show in Denmark, the R6 VRT is equipped with the 6-cylinder 7146 cc Deutz EURO II engine and features a ZF variable transmission combining both hydraulic and mechanical drive.

Non-clutch reversing gears which can be operated from a handle below the steering wheel or a PowerCom S joystick are also standard.

Not only ensuring greater efficiency under a number of working conditions, running costs are reduced and the Variable Ratio Transmission allows operators to select optimum engine and ground speed to maximise performance.

Available in 164-174hp models, the price of the 175hp model is expected to start at £58,500 in the UK.
