LAMMA 2009: Were Cross Engineering rolls stolen from showground?

Did you see a nice 6m set of folding Cross Engineering rolls + seeder being taken out of the LAMMA showground on Friday (23 January) or Saturday morning? If so, the company would like you to contact them, as it suspects that the rolls may have been stolen or inadvertently taken away.

One load of equipment from the Irish company left on Thursday after the show had closed. When managing director Simon Cross returned on the Friday morning the rolls were still on the stand.

But on the Saturday (24 January) morning he had a call from the lorry driver to say that the rolls were missing from the stand. He contacted the organisers, who said they had moved some of the machinery to remove the woodchip from the stands, but kept the machinery within the showground area.

“I have sent emails to all the exhibitors asking them if someone loaded the machine by mistake. It’s a rather large machine, so it cannot be easily loaded, unless it’s by a tractor or JCB or something similar,” he said.

If you saw anything, please contact Simon Cross at 00353 455 24134 (office) or 00353 8725 80389 (mobile).
