Sands was showing off a new hydraulic axle sprayer capable of extending from a 1.83m wheeltrack to 2.74m.

Available on machines above 4,000 litres, the UK built sprayer has been specifically designed to straddle three 915mm potato rows, and is the only machine capable of doing so in the UK, according to sales manager Ian Griffin.

Powered by a 207hp Deutz six-cylinder engine, the system was originally designed for manual adjustment 2.13m. Widening the wheels of the 3.75m high machine takes just 35 seconds.
