LAMMA 2012: The most powerful four cylinder?

Valtra N16

First introduced at November’s Agritechnica show, the new Valtra N163 may well be the strongest four-cylinder tractor in the world.

Powered by an Agco Sisu engine using SCR AdBlue technology, the tractor offers 163hp as standard and a maximum of 171hp when in transport boost mode.

According to the Finnish maker, the new series offers more power and torque than before, while 5-10% savings in fuel consumption may be possible.

The increased power drives through a redesigned transmission, with stepless and powershift models.

The third generation of the N series is available auto-steer ready, and the turning circle has been reduced by almost 1m thanks to a sculpted chassis, allowing an integrated front linkage to be fitted.
