Lamma: Keenan Kompact feeder keeps its dimensions small
This year’s LAMMA show takes place at the Newark Showground on 16 and 17 January. Andy Collings highlights some of the new products that will be on display.
A record number of companies are expected to exhibit at LAMMA 2008. In fact the organisers have announced that, with 470 exhibitors signed up, the show is officially full. It’s a situation that many other agricultural shows would be envious of.
While the every-other-year Agritechnica event in Germany is becoming the show of choice for those wanting to see the latest European launches, for most UK farmers LAMMA provides the first opportunity to see new introductions in the flesh.
Keenan
The cancellation of last year’s Dairy Event means that the LAMMA event will provide for many the first glimpse of Keenan’s new Kompact 160 diet feeder.
Though the 160 has a larger 16cu m capacity, its dimensions are smaller than the 14cu m Klassik 140. This has been achieved by using a larger diameter mixing chamber and moving the feed-out auger to a lower position so that it remains within the overall width of the machine.
