Lamma: Lely shows balers, forage wagons and wind turbines

Lely’s new launches include the Tigo PR, which replaces the Tigo R Profi and includes three models in the 31-41cu m capacity range.

Features include a moveable bulkhead that assists with unloading by reducing pressure on floor chains and the drive mechanism.

Other launches include the RP205 baler with 2.25m camless pick-up. This uses the tried-and-tested fixed bale chamber from the RP245, with 18 rollers and a mechanical tailgate locking system.

The company says that the new heavy-duty drawbar is easy to adjust and ensures that the machine is always set correctly.

Also new is the Lely Hibiscus twin-rotor 715 CD rake. This is the smallest machine in the range, using twin 3.2m diameter rotors with 10 tine arms.

The rake has the same compact chassis as the 745CD Vario and can be adjusted by hand without tools when the rake is in the transport position.

Swath shape can also be adjusted for loader wagons and balers by means of the cam track adjustment.

While the Dutch company is best known for its grass machinery and feeding equipment, its purchase of German wind turbine maker Aircon moves it into the energy equipment market.

It points out that in the future equipment like this will allow many dairy farmers to produce more energy than they actually consume. Also, its Aircon 10 is claimed to be the quietest wind turbine in the market.
