Machinery dealership changes over the new year
Since our last dealer round up, there have been changes all over the country from dealerships expanding into new areas, new distribution agreements for some machines and others building new premises to keep up with demand.

Crawfords
After moving to a new home in Essex last year, Agco dealer Crawfords will expand its Fendt and Valtra trading area into West Sussex, East Hampshire and south Surrey.
These new regions sit alongside the current Essex, Kent and East Sussex areas for Crawfords and means AJ Seale Ltd has lost its territorial responsibilities.

Pichon
Following the announcement late last year regarding Pichon being put into receivership, one of the biggest players in the slurry world, Samson, has stepped in and taken over the activities of Pichon Industries, effective from 4 January 2019. Â

New Holland
Established New Holland dealer TH White has branched out into Herefordshire following the acquisition of part of the JG Plant Ltd operation, which entered administration on 18 December 2018.
All 16 staff at Hereford have been transferred to TH White.
NH’s parent company, CNH Industrial, has entered into an agreement with Canadian company Farmers Edge, a firm focused on agricultural data-driven support systems, with the software being made available to New Holland’s customers.
Map of Ag
A leading provider of insight and knowledge to the farming world, Map of Ag has expanded its data reach by acquiring soil mapping and tech firm Precision Decisions Ltd.
Kuhn
Burdens Group has been appointed as the new dealer for Kuhn Machinery in mid- and south Lincolnshire.
The appointment will see three of Burdens Group’s depots become stockists and service support dealer for the full Kuhn machinery line-up.
Agrifac
Agrifac UK has entered into a new service and sales partnership with Worcestershire-based crop sprayer specialist John Rhodes A.S Limited.
This means Agrifac customers will be able to order genuine parts through the firm and its service technicians will undertake training at Agrifac’s Netherlands HQ.

Kent Country Agricultural Society
There’s a new agricultural show on the calendar and it takes place in Kent on 6 March 2019. Organised by the Kent Country Agricultural Society, the revamped Farm Expo is aiming to become the biggest farm machinery, supplies and service event in the south-east of England.
The event, which is free to attend and park, takes place at the Kent Showground at Detling, near Maidstone.
Vincent Tractors and Plant
A 53-year-old Cornwall and Devon-based family-run machinery dealership has expanded with the acquisition of two new depots.
The new outlets at Holsworthy and Smithaleigh, both in Devon, will stock the full range of agricultural, horticultural and ground care Kubota products.
