Massey Ferguson announces prices of new 8600 tractor range
Massey Ferguson has announced UK prices for its big low-emissions MF8600 series tractors, which were officially launched at the EIMA show in Italy this week.
The tractors span the increasingly important 270-370hp band and are the first to use Selective Catalytic Reduction to cut exhaust emissions.
This involves injecting urea into the exhaust stream so that the ammonia in the urea converts the nitrous oxides into harmless nitrogen and water.
It means that together with the Valtra S series (which use the same engine) these are the first mainstream tractors to meet the new Tier 4 interim/Stage 3B emissions regs.
UK customers will have two spec levels to choose from.
ST is the standard spec, while the Excellence adds fast-steer, super deluxe seat, better CD player with MP3 compatibility, front roof hatch, Optiride Plus suspension, climate control and integrated 5t front linkage.
They are also the first MFs to get Datatronic 4, the latest version of Massey’s high-tech performance monitoring and adjustment system.
First deliveries to dealers are expected in May/June 2009,
