MF keeps it quiet

MASSEY Ferguson is to launch its new MF 400-series tractors at the Smithfield show.

It says they are designed for lightweight agricultural and smallholder tasks.

Despite being an open platform machine, MF claims the 400-series is the quietest in its class, complying with stringent EU noise legislation.

The MF 410 and the MF 420, rated at 55hp and 64hp, respectively, are powered by three-cylinder Perkins engines, the larger benefiting from a turbocharger.

Subject to positive customer feedback, production will commence in early 2005.
