Michelin offers guide to spotting a botched tyre repair

Tyre manufacturer Michelin has produced a guide for farmers to easily spot a faulty tyre repair while also helping to make an informed decision about whether a temporary fix is the right option.

With many firms offering repair services at different prices and qualities, a lack of legislation means anyone can set up a business fixing agricultural tyres.

The guide runs through the tell-tale signs that indicate a dodgy repair and explains how to contact an approved list of repairers.

With tyres representing a huge cost for farmers, a poor-quality repair can cause further downtime and can ultimately void a tyre warranty, the company claims.
