Schaffer had on its stand the 9380T, part of a new generation of pivot-steer telescopic loaders from the German company.

With a lift height of 6.9m and a maximum capacity of 4.9t, it’s fitted with a 6-cylinder Deutz engine and is available in either 180 or 210hp variants.

Aimed at larger farmers and contractors, the new machine combines the visibility benefits of a wheeled machine with the advantages of a telescopic handler and gains Schaffer’s triple speed (STS) 40kph hydrostatic transmission.

Operators can change between ranges on the go both in forward and reverse and machines will be available to test in the autumn.

Price for the 210hp version £128,000.
