Polaris launches new Crew buggy

Polaris has introduced a new diesel variant of its Crew utility vehicle.
Powered by a 904cc thee-cylinder Yanmar engine, the “double-cab” buggy can seat up to six adults, yet also has a load bay beefy enough to cope with bales, fence posts and the like. The long-wheelbase is supported by Polaris’s four-corner Dual A-Arm system, which can be adjusted – stiffer for heavy-duty work or softer for track or road travel.
The drive-train is fully sealed to avoid slippage in wet conditions and the engine is rubber-mounted to reduce vibration.
Towing capacity is a healthy 1,000kg, and the Crew has a payload of 454.5kg. The load bay is fitted with gas struts to enable easier tipping. Ground clearance is 29.2cm, and suspension can travel by 24.4cm at the front and 22.9cm at the rear.
On-demand 4wd is standard fair, and in 2wd the VersaTrac Turf Mode switch frees the rear diff for easier turning and less grass scrubbing. Usefully, it’s fitted with a 55amp plug as standard for things like lamps, cab heaters and fans.
