Raven GPS auto-boom shut-off

John Deere has introduced the new Raven SmartBoom, which offers lower-cost GPS auto boom shut-off for farmers who don’t require all the features of a higher-spec i-Series machine.
SmartBoom is a stand-alone system that connects to Deere’s EL4 spray controller and a mounted or trailed sprayer. Once turned on, SmartBoom uses GPS data from a StarFire satellite receiver to turn the sprayer on or off at previously sprayed areas or mapped no-spray zones.
As well as being compatible with new Deere trailed sprayers, the system can be used with older 500 Contractor mounted sprayers, 700 Series Farmer, 800 and 800SE trailed machines, as well as other makes of sprayer fitted with the TeeJet 844E controller. SmartBoom works with GPS signals at all accuracies from +/-2cm to 30cm.
Basic price of the Raven SmartBoom option is £1576.
