Self-propelled feeder’s a fast mixer

The self-propelled diet feeder market is small, but worth pursuing, says RS Agribusiness, importer of RMH mixer wagons.

The Hampshire firm now offers a 30cu m twin vertical auger machine from the Israeli manufacturer.

Powered by a 280hp Cummins-derived engine, the self-propelled mixer is claimed to be able to load and mix 12t of material in 17 minutes.

With a price tag of over £122,000, it is only likely to find its way into the largest multi-unit businesses and co-ops.

In such situations there will probably be lots of roadwork, so the mixer has a 40kph hydrostatic transmission and three suspended axles.
