SIMA 2009: Moreau 6-row beet harvester

French beet harvesting machinery maker Moreau hasn’t made a tanker machine for a couple of years but this Xerris prototype will go into production this year as a 6-row machine and then as an 8-row one.

SIMA: Moreau

Fitting huge 800/70 front tyres has given it the height to fit an extra cleaning turbine to make a total of seven. There’s also a big 32cu m tank which should make it of interest to the big, 200 machines-a-year Russian market as well as other countries like the UK.

The machine can also twist in the middle in both planes, making it ideal for coping with undulating ground, says the company. Cost is likely to be in the region of €350,000.
