SIMA 2011 – Kuhn Axis 20.1 gains weigh cell

Precison technology from Kuhn’s top-spec fertiliser spreaders has filtered down to its latest model aimed at the smaller producer.
The Axis 20.1 W inherits the firm’s continuous weighing and rate adjustment system which previously was only available on higher-end models.
Hoppers range from 1000-2300litres and the larger extension gives a 2.8m loading width allowing bulk fertiliser to be loaded with a bucket.
Two weighing cells improve accuracy and the A-frame has been modified to give greater pto clearance.
Cells take readings and adjust rates constantly, and a low-speed agitator prevents fertiliser prills breaking up. The spreader is not ISO-bus compatible, but does offer variable rate spreading.
