Kverneland unveils high-capacity Alentix fert spreader

More capacity and technology are the headline improvements for Kverneland’s latest spinning disc fertiliser spreader.

As standard, the Alentix 8047 GI has a tub volume of 2,375 litres, but this can be upped to 4,700 litres by fitting three bolt-free extensions to the top.

Its outside walls have been redesigned too, with a series of nifty features that make use of the exterior panels.

The rear one, for instance, swings down to double up as a filling platform complete with access ladder, and the side opens to reveal a hidden handwash tank and storage locker.

There’s also an electrically powered cover for the top.

Given the total load when full could exceed 5t, Kverneland has opted for a quick hitch mounting system that keeps the implement as close to the back of the tractor as possible.

However, operators can still gain access to the linkage, pto and hydraulic pipes by detaching the spreader’s front mudguard.

Internal updates include a revamped honeycomb grille to catch lumps without inhibiting product flow or accumulating granules, four repositioned weigh cells – now in an X formation for more consistent readings – and a new Rapid Rate dosing system.

Its square-shaped shutters ensure material falls onto the centre of the spreading discs for a consistent throw to a maximum distance of 54m.

And the addition of an on-board inclination sensor, wired into the tractor implement management (TIM) system, means the top link can keep the spreader bang in tune by automatically tweaking its pitch to account for weight changes as the hopper empties.

Production of the new Alentix models will start in January 2026.
