Agritechnica 2025: Hardi Arex sprayer gets front-mounted cab

In a departure from its usual engine-in-the-nose format, Hardi has fitted its new flagship Arex self-propelled sprayer with a front-mounted Claas cab.

Perks are far better visibility, easier access and more room for the operator to get comfortable.

Plus, it’s freed up enough space to accommodate either a 5,000- or 6,000-litre spray tank. Previously, the biggest the maker could muster on the Alpha was 4,000 litres.

Rather than place the engine in the conventional behind-cab spot, Hardi has opted to fit the 310hp Cummins six-cylinder at the rear.

The obvious benefit of this arrangement is a whisper-quiet cabin, but it also helps with weight distribution.

Drive is transferred to the wheels via a hydrostatic driveline fitted with Bosch Rexroth wheel motors and it rides on plush, air-damped independent suspension on each corner.

Various boom options are on the table, with in-house Twin Force air assemblies running up to 36m and conventional ones to 39m.

There’s also an auto folding system that makes it quicker and easier for operators to get the machine ready for work and pack it up afterwards.

Other add-ons include pulse-width modulation and Hardi’s GeoSelect Gen 2 spot spraying system which uses pre-loaded maps to only target areas where weeds are present.
