Amazone extends mounted sprayer range

A new 1,600-litre mounted sprayer – the UF 1602 – has joined Amazone’s range of lower-capacity units.

The implement is available with Super-S2 booms from 15m to 30m and carries a neatly-shaped polyurethane tank that the firm says gives it a particularly low centre of gravity.

A 60-litre conical-shaped induction hopper is hidden behind a door to protect it from being caked in mud and dirt, and it carries mixing nozzles in the suction aperture to help process granules, such as epsom salts, quickly.

Buyers also have the option of a higher spec version that comes with automatic fill stop of both the suction hose filling and bowser fill port (if fitted).

An automatic cleaning process can be controlled from the tractor cab, too.

During application, the agitation system regulates itself automatically, according to the tank level.

As the fill level decreases, agitation reduces to a complete shut-off.

It also reduces agitation where a high application rate is required from the boom, before returning to full capacity when the nozzles are shut off on the headland.

There’s also the option of pairing the machine with a 1,000-litre front tank.
