To give farmers a fighting chance when winding in litre after litre of chemical, sprayer specialist Knight Farm Machinery has developed Fluid Control Pro, which is designed to put sprayer drivers in full charge of all filling, spraying and washing out functions.

Controlled at the filling area or inside the cab, it makes sure the operator has enough time to load the chemical and clean out all spray containers with fresh water before the tank is brimmed.

The new Isobus integrated display is located at the filling station and displays information such as application rate and field size, and gives a real-time readout of tank contents.

Cleverly, it calculates the amount of product required and automatically manages the filling cycle, so the operator can concentrate on loading the chemical.

The system cross-references with details of the field that are stored in the computer, to work out the volume of chemical required to cover the acreage at the desired rate.

This should reduce the amount of pressure sprayer drivers are under to cover the ground, while there is also a handy pause function to stop the tank from over-filling, we’re told.
