Vanguard 55 replaces Condor 5 in Agrifac sprayer range

Agrifac has simplified its range of self-propelled sprayers, with two new Vanguard models coming in to replace the original Vanguard 1 and ageing Condor 5.
The pair are very similar except for tank size; the Vanguard 55 – a near-direct replacement for the Condor – carrying 5,500 litres and the 67 version good for 6,700. The extra capacity of the latter means it goes without the useful platform behind the cab.

Both get the new X11 cockpit from Claas, an upgrade on the old X10, and a freshen up of the touchscreens and in-house-built controls.
And they can now accommodate tyres up to 520/85 R50s to maximise the length of the footprint and minimise compaction given their 13.5t empty weight.
The plumbing systems have also had some attention, with centrifugal pumps replacing diaphragm versions and most 90deg bends in the pipes removed to ease the flow of liquid.
Engine-wise they’re unchanged, with the Cummins motor in the Vanguard 55 putting out 210hp or 288hp and the Vanguard 67 tuned to 288hp or 326hp.
Agrifac’s 405hp, 15t flagship model, now called the Endurance 80 rather than the Endurance 2, has also gained the new Claas-sourced cab.
