Spreadwise shows 12m dribble bar
Having developed its first dribble bar four years ago, Spreadwise also had a 12m version at Muck North West.
According to the company, the cost-effectiveness of a dribble bar is attractive to both farmers and contractors, with the split in sales now being about 50:50.
One benefit of surface application over splashplate is the reduction in atmospheric losses of ammonia, which can be as much as 80% if thrown through the air, even at the current restricted height of 3m.
Another plus with a dribble bar system is that you can drive over the umbilical pipe, making it more straighforward than an injector method.
The cost of a 12m dribble bar is ÂŁ15,000, while a basic umbilical system could set you back ÂŁ20,000.
